| I heard someone say "Update. . . "
Ummmmm, what to say, what to say. My life is completely different than it was 3 months ago. My mom's in a rehab center in Nashville. She's learning how to talk and swallow and walk again. She had surgery on Valentines' Day and everything that could go wrong did. She's okay now, but it's not easy. I've missed so much school. I don't even care about it anymore it seems. When I am there I don't pay attention anyway. I had to drop Trig and I am going to drop AP in the next few days as well. I just don't want to do it anymore.
On the brightside, Michael and I are doing very well. He is such an amazing person. Yeah, we have our spats and I get mad and then I get over it. I'll post a picture as soon as I get one scanned! He's such a cutie! He makes me smile and keeps me wanting to be happy. That probably doesn't make much sense.
Josh and Alex and I haven't been hanging out much at all lately. I see them at church when I go, but that's about it. And you know, I miss them, but that's okay. It's nice to have time with my girl friends too. Gracie and Jessie and I have been inseparable for some time now. It's awesome. We get along so well! That's my new pic up there anyway. Saturday, the 3 of us went out to dinner for our "PROM" night. It was so much fun. We made reservations at this really nice restaurant and then went to a movie. We got all dressed up in our dresses and everything. It was amazing!!!
But anyways, this is it for now. I'll try to update more often. . . Jake. Sorry about that. i've just been busy. See ya!
| Oh my gosh! It's been so long. . . .I'm at a loss for words. I can't even begin to explain my life since the beginning of November. It's been a whirlwind. For awhile, I wasn't sleeping at night; I was going to school, to work, then pouncing on ap homework until 3 in the morning. I was run-down and exhausted by Thanksgiving Holiday. My homework began to drop a bit. Not turning in an assignment here, late on the next, etc. My grades had fallen drastically as well. The break helped to rejuvenate my body and mind. I reorganized my priorities, cut down on my Shoney's hours, and did a few extra projects for art. Hopefully, I didn't ruin my first semester of Jr. year.
Over Christmas break, I've been spending my days at Shoney's and my evenings at home with my parents and Josh and Alex (sometimes KT too). We've been shopping and watching movies and all kinds of things. It's been great. I almost hate to go back to school. We all dread it, it seems. Only a year and a half left. . . .:) I've already got Senioritis!!! :(
Any way, Life has been hectic. It's starting to chill out and settle back down. The excitement is nice, but it's tiring. I'm glad that I'm getting into a routine once again. Speaking of routines, it's my routine bed time. See ya later!
Oh, by the way, I hope you like the song (Josh and Alex)!!!
| Howdy y'all! Well, last night I had my Shoney's Orientation. You know, it wasn't that bad. I watched a video and filled out a lot of paper work. I got my name tag and all that jazz. I start on Monday. Wish me luck!!
Today, the Band went to the Vetrens' Day Ceremonies. I HATE FRESHMEN! Out of the 15 or so Freshman we have, half of them were talking during the speech and the prayer. They made us look really bad. I think they deserve major laps. Unfortunately, the season's pretty much over, so it won't be worth it. After we returned, someone (not saying any names...but most know who) decided to go into the Guard room and smoke. Ehh! Hinkel was not happy about that one. He locked the room. Also, a huge group of us got together and played Truth or Dare. Wow! That was an interesting experience! I learned so much about my fellow band members...not to mention how Teej truly feels about Hinkel (Lmao)!!!
But anyways....that's the last couple of days. Tomorrow, I leave at 9 am for Memphis. Whoohoo! Sara and I are going with Cindi. We're both really excited! I'll tell ya all about it when I get back! See ya! Mmw@!
| - On the Way Down Howdy all! Let's see what's up. . .
Umm, I was supposed to have my Shoney's Orientation today. Unfortunately, something happened to the District Manager's wife. Therefore, he could not conduct the orientation. So I go back tomorrow.
Thursday is Vetrens' Day. the band is leaving school for half of the day and going to perform at the ceremonies on the square. Whoohoo! Outta school! *Does a lil hokey pokey dance with pointer fingers up*
Friday, Sara and I are leaving school at like 11 to go to Cindi's house. Cindi and Preston are taking us to Memphis. We have a campus tour and tickets the the game. (Yay! University of Memphis) We get to hang out with the band, guard and twirlers before (and hopefully after) the game. The we're gonna go back to Cindi's and crash til mid morning. (We won't be returning til almost dawn so...) Yay!!
Also, Sunday, Josh is taking me to Nashville to the TPAC to see the play Sylvia. I'm quite excited!!! I really enjoy watching plays, especially at the TPAC. The actors are so amazing! Actually, we doing this to celebrate my upcoming birthday. (Whoohoo! 17 years of life on Nov 18!)
The last Youth Cookout of the season is on Friday the 19th. I hope I can get off work! It'll be one of the few activities I've been able to go to. :)
In the chatterbox, I mentioned me and Drew Ewing. That's an interesting subject. I'd rather keep my personal life personal. I do feel comfortable, however, telling you that he invited me to go to the Sub-deb dance with him on the 20th. I'm excited about going, but very nervous as well. (Preppy people) Although if anyone has looked at me within the last week, they can see that my wardrobe would fit right it. (I've been excessively dressly lately.)
Anyway, that's about all that's upcoming. Not much eh? Well, I'll update as often as I can. No promises though. See ya soon! Love y'all!
| - I Don't Wanna Be NEWS:
I got my class ring finally! Whoohoo! I've been wanting it for a long time now. It turned out really nice. Lewisburg Jewelery all the way (Screw Jostens lol)
Umm, the big time engineer at Emerald Studios/Synclogic was a real record engineer. He was not, however, true with anything else he said. It turns out he's married and all that jazz. You know, oh well. (Any one feel like I'm setting some sort of record for attracting married or taken men?)
On Sunday nights, ECBC Youth is studying what Baptists believe. I'm so excited about learning all there is to know. I'm worried that maybe I won't agree with everything. But I think I've been taught to believe in the Baptist life. I think that what I've been taught and what I will be taught is going to be quite similar. :)
ANNOUNCEMENTS:
MCHS Tigers are going to the playoffs in Lexington tomorrow night. But thankfully, the Band doesn't have to go with them. We have a band competition on Saturday with a call time of like 4:30 am. Brutal! But GREAT luck to the Band at State Comp. (Go BAND!!!)
Passion of the Christ is this Sunday at the church. I'm really nervous to see it again. I'm not really sure if it will have the same effects once again. (I was a bawling mess). I hope we have a really good turnout and that everyone gets something out of it.
Oh......yeah.....the Election of 2004. Ehhh. . . .Gimme 4 more years and then I'll tell you what I think. I wasn't going for either one. Actually, I was pretty much against them both so. . . We'll see what the next 4 years will bring. And for those of you who are upset beyond words, just remember that the US isn't going to Hell, we're not all gonna die, and that we survived the last 4 years, we can do it again. Relax, take a deep breath. The country will be fine. The only thing you really have to worry about is the draft. . .
